With the drastic rise in the remunerations of star heroes, directors and the technicians, the production costs of films in Tollywood shot upto more than 40-50 crores per any star hero's film. This causes numerous problems for the producers during and after the film's release with financial crunch. And if the films flop, the producers' plight cannot be narrated in words.
For many years, several producers tried to control this over budget menace but failed time and again. However, looks like a positive trend will be set in Tollywood with Ram Charan's upcoming film in Sreenu Vaitla's direction. As per the latest reports, Ram Charan's My Name Is Raju is being shot with a total budget of 37 crores.
Reports further say that all the stars and technicians, including Ram Charan and Sreenu Vaitla, have been paid reasonably and that the strategy is only to restrict the overshooting of the film's budget. With the budget being under control and if the producer sells the film for reasonable prices, there is no doubt that even the distributors will see decent profits, considering the star value.
Let us hope that this trend will be followed by the producers of all big budget films, which will pave a fresh path to success in Tollywood.
