As the producers roped in this 17 year old girl Malavika Nair, many expressed doubts if she could do justice to Nandi's role in Nani's "Yevade Subramanyam". She is neither hot looking like an Ileana at that age, nor done many films to her kitty like a Hansika who is popular as a child artist. But this 17 year old proved her critics wrong when that film released, and once again last night.
This cute looking talented Mallu girl has done the role of a visually impaired girl in Tamil film "Cuckoo" which was released last year. For that well etched and performed role, Malavika walked away with "Best Actress" award in Tamil category at Filmfare Awards (South). That answered all those critics of this young lady, who's not interested in glam roles but those of potential to explode.
Malavika is right now working with Naga Shourya in Telugu for a film that is being directed by Nandini Reddy. With this Filmfare win, her craze got just doubled and who knows she will be another Nitya Menon in Telugu industry in the days to come.
