Bombay High Court has deferred the hearing of Salman Khan’s hit-and-run case for July 1. Chief Public Prosecutor SS Shinde appeared and agreed to the date fixed for the next hearing. Salman Khan did not appear for the hearing. His sister Alvira represented him at the court.
For culpable Homicide Salman Khan was convicted for 5 years of jail term by a Mumbai Sessions Court on May 8. He was also found guilty of offences under section 279 IPC (rash and negligent driving) and sections 337 and 338 IPC (causing hurt by acts endangering life or personal property of others). Salman had appealed to the Bombay High Court for bail, which was granted to him.
