By now, one of India's hotshot filmmakers, Karan Johar, has become a well know name even among staunch Tollywood followers thanks to his association as the presenter of Baahubali's Hindi version. Yesterday, the popular filmmaker was upset when one of his followers trolled him on Twitter.
It is well known that there have been curious discussions about Karan's sexual orientation and the director himself hinted about it on numerous occasions through his superhit talk show, Koffee With Karan and also in the most controversial public event ever in India, the AIB Roast. But one of his followers took his niceness for granted and Karan decided to give it back.
A person tagged Karan's handle and tweeted saying that Karan to be married in the US. This tweet was a sheepish reference to the USA legalizing same-sex marriages. Deeply saddened by this trolling, Karan retorted back saying, 'it's so sad and disgusting when a major breakthrough movement is made into a mockery by some on Twitter!! Shame!!!'.
This is yet another case when followers of a celebrity cross the line of public decency and try to get personal.
