Looks like there is some hidden magic behind film artistes elections, which are narrowing the line between film stars and politicians. Only a couple of months ago, we witnessed the murky allegations, catfights, and even abuses between several Tollywood stars during the Movie Artistes' Association elections. Now, the Nadigar Sangam (Tamil artistes' association) is going the same route.

We already reported about Vishal's heavy duty attack on the Nadigar Sangam's current president and senior actor, Sarath Kumar. Vishal alleged that Sarath Kumar resorted to numerous discrepancies and corruption during his reign and an intense war between the young and senior actor continued for several months.

Now, Vishal along with legendary character actor Nasser and 'Awara' Karthi, filed a petition in the Madras High Court to postpone the elections. In their petition, the three actors alleged that usually the Nadigar Sangam elections take place on a second Sunday but this time Sarath Kumar is in a hurry to conclude the polls to his advantage and is conducting the polling on Wednesday, 15th July.

Apart from this, the three actors also requested the court to appoint two retired judges to monitor the polling process.
