The jaw dropping box-office collections of India’s biggest motion picture, Baahubali, will make any Telugu film lover’s heart filled with pride and content. The film, which clocked more than $1 million from its premieres alone, has no grossed close to $3.4 million and created an all-time highest weekend record for any India film in the US.
Until now, the top weekend grosser record has been enjoyed by Aamir Khan’s PK with $3.1 million, followed by Dhoom 3 with $3.05 million. Looking at this pace, trade analysts are already estimating that Baahubali will surpass the previous record lifetime run created by Aamir’s PK with $8.6 million within the next weekend.
Baahubali is also the first Indian movie to gross more than $1 million in three consecutive days in the USA.
