Celebrities' salaries have always interested us for two reasons - one; the numbers are massive which in turn provides us inspiration and two; digging in to know about anything that is secretive excites us. This being the case, If I say Vijay's alleged salary for his next movie will excite you, then that's an understatement.
According to a report, Ilayathalapathy Vijay has received his highest pay cheque for Vijay 59 which is being directed by Atlee and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu.
The alleged amount which is said to be tax free is an enviable ₹30 crore. If this is what Kalaipuli S Thanu has paid the Kaththi star, then it makes him the second highest paid actor in the whole of South India, next only to Superstar Rajinikanth and on a par with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. The numbers may sound absurd but given Vijay's box office success in the last couple of years, it is entirely feasible for him to have demanded such a huge hike in his salary.
Words like 'market' and 'actor in demand' play a huge role in film industry after all. With speculations surrounding Vijay 60 indicating that AR Murugadoss might helm the actor's 60 film, looks like Vijay is back in business big time, quite literally.
