imgCommercial films. These are stuffed with masala, double entendres, glamour and routine jokes. Then we get blockbusters. From writers like Kona Venkat to Akula Siva, Veligonda Srinivas to Darling Swamy, everyone is following the same formula. Kona has declared most recently that he wants to deliver what people loves and hence same routine commercial formulaic films. Is there any break for such acts?

If there is anyone giving a breathe from such routing scrap, definitely we have to talk about writer-director Koratala Siva. In 'Mirchi', Koratala tried to teach that there is no wrong in loving other persons as the maximum that could happen to us is they will love-you back. Now in the latest 'Srimanthudu' he focused on a point, give something back to the village that gave us all. No doubt, all these lines look terrible on paper, as no star hero is interested in pricking up social subjects. But we have to appreciate Koratala Siva, as he is carefully blending such social films into masala commercial aspects and narrating them brilliantly on screen.

In case if Srimanthudu scored heftily at box office, then this new formula rewritten by Koratala Siva is going to be the path many young writers and aspiring writers would like to follow. Watching commercial films with routine heroism, comedy, action and peppy-songs became a boring thing already.
