As everyone has witnessed what a massive film Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali is, entertainment channels have now started their bidding to bag the satellite rights. Baahubali can surely promise to bring sky high TRP ratings and advertisements to the channels so they are ready to spend bomb.
As per sources, ETV, which has been staying behind in satellite rights since few years, might just grab the rights of the first part. ETV is assumed to have struck a deal to bag the satellite rights of Baahubali and two other Sai Korrapati's production films, Vinavayya Ramayya and Tungabhadra for a huge amount of Rs 18 crore. The deal is not closed yet but might be finalized in a week's time.
Rumour is that even though ZEE Telugu and MAA TV were ready to pay the same amount, Ramoji Rao, the owner of Eenadu group, outsmarted them as he has a share in Baahubali.
