In the past, film industry veterans like Dasari made allegations that, four personalities have taken the entire Telugu film industry in their control. Several politicians and small producers made the same allegations.
And in the recent times, there was huge furor over a group of producers coming together and restricting the media advertisements.
A group of 14 producers led by Dil Raju formed the LLP (Limited Liability Partnership). Several media outlets vented their anger on them; a prominent daily even carried a series of articles against these producers.
Everyone thought this LLP would soon collapse but instead it strengthened further with recent election results of the film chamber of commerce.
In the elections held on Sunday, top producer D Suresh Babu was elected as the President of the Film Chamber and Dil Raju as the Vice President.
In other key roles, Damodara Prasad and Kodali Venkateshwara Rao were elected. Interestingly, majority of these elected members belong to LLP. So they have taken control of Tollywood now.
