These days many writers are fighting with directors for credits. Like Koratala Siva said, many writers feel that they 'create' everything on paper while directors are just the ones who film it. This notion is not true, but many writers feel that they are under-credited, over-exploited and badly paid.
Writer Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan have parted ways with Sreenu Vytla because they feel like this director is not giving him credits for their writing. They cried foul over Vylta claiming story and dialogues credit. After this issue, Vytla scored a flop and Kona scored couple of hits though with regular content. But finally, a patch up happened between Kona and Sreenu and they shared movie credits rather easily for Charan's 9th film.
Coming to writer Vakkantam Vamsi, it is heard that he has some fight with director Surender Reddy, as he demanded story and dialogues to his credit. Though Vamsi was given Story-dialogues credit for Kick 2, the result just flopped. And Vakkantam has wrote dialogues for no other film in between, though he has claimed story credits for Temper. While Kona' fight with Sreenu worked, seems like Vakkantam got no use with such.
