Superstar Mahesh Babu's blockbuster family entertainer Srimanthudu touched every movie lover's heart with its emotionally charged social message of village adoption. Inspired by the movie, several affluent NRIs, businessmen and others showed interest in owning up their villages and develop them into smart villages.
Even Mahesh himself impressed everyone with his noble decision to about Burripalem, prior to the beginning of Srimanthudu's shooting. Mahesh's brother-in-law and Guntur TDP MP Jayadev Galla announced early this year that Mahesh will adopt and develop his native village. However, there has been no news since then.
Breaking his silence finally, Mahesh announced in today's Srimanthudu thanks meet that he will adopt Burripalem in 2,3 months and that he is currently devising plans to develop it. With this, all the gossips about Mahesh's negligence in sticking to his announcement several months ago have come to an end.
