Sankranthi 2016. This season is getting much hotter than anyone has anticipated. They say don't count your chicken before they are hatched, but Tollywood is not believing this adage these days, as they are working hard to meet release deadlines like their Bollywood counterparts.
Coming to Sankranthi 2016, more than three biggies are trying to get slots and none are willing to step back. First one in the race is Jr NTR's "Nannaku Prematho" that is being directed by Sukumar. This film is likely to get a release on January 8th without any fail. This year, already Junior announced Temper in the same way and dropped from race in the last minute. However, producer BVSN Prasad doesn't want that to happen in this case. And then, there is Pawan Kalyan's "Sardaar" that is hell bent on target. Powerstar and Sharath Marar are eyeing on January 10th/11th dates to make this Gabbar Singh franchisee see light. As the shooting is going on at brisk pace, we could expect Pawan to be bang on target.
Latest entrant into this mega fight is Nandamuri Balakrishna. It is heard that director Sriwaas is carving out a superb mass entertainer as our hero's 99th film "Dictator". Currently the unit is eyeing for January 14th release and producers Eros Entertainment have already started booking theatres for this. Seems like none among these 3 big stars are willing to step back from Sankranthi season.
