For Tamil audiences, expectations from Ilayalathalapathy Vijay's latest movie are quite high. He will be seen as a medieval warrior in the film Puli that is being directed by Chimbudevan. At the moment when the trailer of the film touched 40 lakh hits on Youtube within just 4 days after its release, the unit is so sure that it's going to hit Baahubali records in this momentum.
Criticism apart, Vijay's Puli has done amazing business across the globe and the makers will be releasing the film in Telugu too and same day itself. As per latest reports from Chennai, October 1st is the possible global release date of this film. Guess what, if October 1st is Puli's date, then October 2nd is Varun Tej's Kanche release date, while Charan might hit cinemas on October 12th/14th. In that case, Puli has to compete with mega brothers here in Tollywood in case if it wants to pull huge numbers.
Puli features Sridevi as an evil queen, Hansika as a princess and Sudeep as a villain. Shruti Haasan is the lead heroine. But that is not enough to hold the breath of Telugu audiences, because Kanche's content has huge potential with Krish at the helm, and RC9 is being directed by the one only Sreenu Vytla, the master of commercial cinema.
