Ram Gopal Varma criticises the porn ban in India

Major Internet service providers like Vodafone, beam cable and BSNL have deprived the internet user’s access to visit pornographic websites.

RGV quotes that “depriving consenting adults” of watching porn is equivalent to what “Taliban and ISIS is doing to freedom”. Reports stated that, the porn sites are showing blank pages when pornographic websites were opened.

Many expressed their opinion against this through twitter and #pornban is gaining popularity day by day. The main thing that intrigues the common man is that, the rule to ban porn in India is made by the same ministers who were caught watching porn in a parliament session. Celebrities like Uday Chopra, Milap zaveri and few others have expressed their views on this.

This however leaves a question unanswered among the masses. With the porn ban in effect, will the cases of sexual violence come down or go up?
