Ravi Teja's much delayed film Kick 2 hit theatres last week. The film not only received bad reviews but also bombed miserably at the overseas box-office. In USA the movie has clocked only $3,07,195 (2.04 Crs) from 99 screens so far.
Definitely this is a big collection for Ravi Teja’s movie, but it has not brought any smiles for the exhibitors and the distributors overseas. Kick 2 failed to impress when compared with Kick.
Ravi Teja’s charismatic performance in the prequel was clearly absent in the sequel. The storyline was a big letdown in Kick 2. Also the film got delayed and was postponed so many times, this did not do good to the film.
Directed by Surender Reddy, much expectations were riding on this film. Surender Reddy’s Racegurram had crossed $ 1 million mark in USA.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu starrer Srimanthudu in its third weekend has grossed $ 94,498 from 46 screens. The total gross of this film in USA is 2.82 Million dollars (18.80 Crores).
Srimanthudu is second all time biggest hit in USA, and it is expected to cross 3 million dollar mark next week.
