Kannada star Sudeep turns villain once again, this time for the Tamil film Puli. The actor tells us that the most challenging bit about playing this role was getting into the character — physically speaking.
"Getting into character took a lot of time every day. I would be wearing heavy armour before getting my hair extensions in place and after that, there was no taking the armour off till the shoot for the day was over. I couldn't even sit, so I had to stand right through my entire first schedule for this film," reveals Sudeep.
The actor also tells us that just being part of an epic fantasy film is an experience that every actor must go through. He says, "I have been lucky to be a part of Telugu's Baahubali and Tamil's Puli and I hope to direct my own fantasy film in five languages sometime next year. We have seen the other two industries grow over the years and while budgets in Kannada are much smaller, they have shown us that it is not impossible to grow. Both the industry as well as the audience have a huge role to play in ensuring we work towards the possibility."
