imgIt is already a known fact that, Ram Charan has signed to play lead role in Telugu remake of Tamil smashing hit Thani Oruvan. NV Prasad who is very close to megastar Chiranjeevi has bought Telugu rights by shelling out Rs 5.5 Crores. Tamil version's baddie Aravind Swamy is being considered to reprise the same in Telugu version too.

Contrary to the reports of Mohan Raja directing Telugu version, it is heard that Surender Reddy is almost finalized to helm the venture. Suri is specialist in dealing stylish action entertainers. And Charan feels Suri would handle the subject better than any others. Seems like, Charan is not worried of Kick 2 result.

More importantly, the director has been willing to make a film with Charan since long time and has approached the actor various times with different subjects. However, Charan asked Suri to direct Thani Oruvan remake, rather wasting time on new scripts. In fact, Surender Reddy is not basically a story writer.

Director Mohan Raja penned gripping screenplay for Thani Oruvan. Producers from various language formed queue to acquire remake rights for their respective language. Charan was very much impressed with the film's theme and directed his producers to seize Telugu rights.

Charan will start working on the project, after release of ongoing project Bruce Lee gracing theaters on October 16th. Apparently, Surender Reddy is right pick for the project.
