The recent Income Tax raids on about 32 residences and officers of 10 Kolywood Celebs have thrown a light on hundreds of crores undisclosed assets.
IT Officials raided the houses of 'Puli' producers P T Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens. Producers of 'Puli' alone have evaded tax to the tune of Rs 100 crore in the past 6 years. Crucial Documents related to Property Deeds, Mutual Funds and other Assets have been seized during the raids. Soon after the raids, Bank Accounts of the Producers have been seized and it resulted in the delayed release of 'Puli'.
Some of the places raided by IT sleuths include Vijay's official residence in Neelankarai (Chennai), Samantha's Flats in Pallavaram (Chennai) and Hyderabad, Nayantara's Houses in Tiruvananthapuram and Tiruvalla, Rajinikanth's Kabali Producer Kalaipuli S Thani's House in Chennai, Leading Financiers Madurai Anbu and Ramesh's residences & offices in Chennai.
