Post the Income Tax raids on the houses & offices of Vijay a day before the release of highest budgeted film 'Puli', Reports of the Tamil Top Star evading tax for a period of 5 years began doing rounds everywhere. These speculations did affect Vijay and he decided to send an official letter to the press urging it to stop spreading baseless reports.
Vijay clarifies: "Myself, My Family and Staff offered full cooperation to the IT Officials who took part in the raid. I'm pained by the reports in a section of media that I have been evading tax for the past 5 years. This allegation is far from truth and being a law abiding citizen I always respected the law of the land. I have been submitting my IT returns in an appropriate manner until now. Income Tax, Property Tax and Professional Tax have been paid by me every year without fail. I kindly request Media friends not to hurt me or cause any distress by spreading false allegations".
Will Nayantara and Samantha react in a similar fashion on the reports that they have been evading tax for the past 2 years. Wait & See...!
