If the latest buzz is anything to go by, Venkatesh will be playing a special cameo in his nephew Naga Chaitanya's next film Majnu, the Telugu remake of Malayalam industry hit, Premam. Apparently, Naga Chaitanya requested his uncle to play the crucial role of Arivazhagan, played by veteran Kannada actor Anant Nag.
Reports further say that Venky responded positively to Naga Chaitanya's proposal and he readily gave his nod. Currently, Venky is said to be on a holiday in Ooty with his family and an official confirmation could be out once he comes back to town. Also, clarification is expected on Venky's next projects with directors like Maruthi and Kranthi Madhav.
Meanwhile, the makers of Majnu are in the final stages of casting, with actresses like Shruti Haasan, Disha Patani, Anupama Parameswaran etc under consideration. Chandoo Mondeti of Karthikeya fame will direct Majnu and senior producer Radhakrishna's son will produce the film under Sitara Entertainments banner.
