Kaakka Muttai is the latest Tamil film directed by debutant M. Manikandan. Dhanush has jointly produced this children flick along with Vetrimaaran featuring predominantly newcomers in the lead roles. The movie has already won two national awards, for the Best Children’s film and for the Best Child Actors, at the 62nd National Film Awards.
It has been shortlisted for many international film festivals as well. Dhanush is very excited about the movie. Proud award winning star shared its trailer on his micro-blogging site. Manikandan is the writer and cinematographer of the film. The young director had earlier directed the short film, Wind (2010). Formerly he is a wedding photographer. Music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
