Gunasekhar's high budget period drama Rudrama Devi was supposed to release in the first week of May. But the post production work including 3D conversion has been going on since ages and there is no confirmation about the release date as of now.
As per the buzz from the film sources, buyers who have given advances to Gunasekhar are exerting pressure upon Gunasekhar to release the movie on or before May 29th!
Holiday period is running out and it would be extremely difficult for a film of this caliber to recover its costs in the off season. So the buyers want the film to release in the month of May to be in the comfort zone. They are planning to meet Gunasekhar shortly to discuss about this.
“Release in May or return the advance amount!” is their only demand.
It is not easy for a director to complete films like Rudrama Devi within the expected time as there would be things that are not going to be in their control. So Gunasekhar may find it very tough to meet the deadline put by the buyers.
On the other hand Bahubali buyers aren't worried about the release date as Rajamouli proved that he doesn't need Holiday period to score a blockbuster.
Gunasekhar should at least make sure to keep Rudrama Devi in news by doing innovative promotions. There is not a single update about the movie after that grand audio launch.
