Despite having talent, Sumanth could not make it as a top hero. He debuted with Prema Katha and made his mark, but he could never have a huge box office hit.
Later he did films like Yuvakudu, Snehamante Idera, Gowri, Soggadu, Madhu Maasam. But one film that got him name and success was Godavari and the audiences remember him till date due to that.
In 2014, he acted in Emo Gurram Egaravachemo which did not work out at the box office. Though he could not get very many offers after that, it was said that director Siva Nageswara Rao who made many comedy films in the past like Money, was planning to make a film with him. But there is no news about the film’s progress till now and it remains to be seen if the film will happen some time later.
