“A phone number will be announced and anyone who gives information about a www.yayyan.org pirated copy of the film doing the rounds, immediate action will be taken. There have been attempts to curb this menace earlier too but this time we have taken a few more stringent measures,” said renowned producer Allu Aravind.
He added, “Theatres have become the prime source for piracy and we have forensic intelligence that can track which theatre a particular copy has been pirated from – including the time!” He further said, “The theatre which is found guilty of the act will be shunned by the chamber and it will not be possible for them to release a movie for a whole year after that.”
Rajamouli explained how the theatres involved in the act can be tracked. “Every digital print has a watermark and that makes it easy to track which print has been pirated,” he said. CPI wants a check on Baahubali ticket prices With complaints that ticket prices of ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’ are far from normal, CPI city secretary Sudhakar said government should intervene immediately and put a full stop to this daylight robbery.
“Some multiplexes are charging Rs 500 for the ticket. It is absurd. Even the www.adprofits.co.uk special shows tickets are priced at around Rs 1,000. How can a common man afford a ticket at such a high price?” he said in Hyderabad.
“Special shows should get consent from income tax department but some theatre managements are flouting rules for their own benefits. Even some screens are planning to conduct eight shows per day. It is against the rule book,” he added. He further said that CPI members will protest against the prices on the day the film releases.
