Now, the Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation has decided to go on a theater strike on the 9th July, just one day before Baahubali's release. All the theaters will remain closed on 9th and reopen on 10th, if only the authorities respond positively towards the piracy menace that's been creating a havoc for the latest Malayali industry hit, Premam.
While Baahubali's Kerala distributors and the trade circles are waiting with a bated breath for the strike to be over on 9th itself to ensure a smooth release, the exhibitors seem to be hell-bent on acting tough on the pirates. Recently, Premam's pirated copy was rumored to be leaked from a Chennai based studio, and the film's producer filed a complaint and investigations are currently on, with the government's involvement big-time.
