Superstar Mahesh Babu's latest blockbuster Srimanthudu is ruling the roost with solid collections even during the weekdays. On the other hand, praises and applause continue to pour in for the film's socially relevant content. After impressing fans and movie lovers in both the Telugu states, Srimanthudu has now impressed the Telangana government.
Heaping praises on the film, the Telangana state Minister of IT, KTR tweeted, "On the eve of Gram Jyothi, Srimanthudu is a fab movie to catch: focus on rural development & social responsibility. Great job @urstrulyMahesh." To this, the Tollywood's Superstar replied with a modest "Thank you, sir.. Humbled.."
Grama Jyothi is an ambitious new program initiated by the Telangana CM KCR. It targets the overall development of all the villages in the state, and the government is spending close to Rs 25,000 crore in the coming four years towards the Grama Jyothi program. Apart from KTR, Srimanthudu also impressed the MPs and ministers from AP and Telangana during a special screening organized by the TDP MP Jaydev Galla.
