Legendary director Mani Ratnam is also the most reclusive of all the directors down south. Apart from his promotional interviews during the release of his films, the gentleman is hardly seen in news rest of the times. Yesterday, Mani Ratnam met with the Tamil media men to celebrate the success of the audio album of OK Kanmani or OK Bangaram in Telugu.
During the media interaction, an enthusiastic journalist asked Mani Ratnam the reason behind his elusive nature towards media and public eye. To this, Mani replied in his trademark sense of humor and said, 'leave your pen and papers and meet me. I am always available that way.' Naturally, the director's reply drew mixed response from the scribes.
While the journalists are happy that the director is indeed approachable for a candid talk, they were mostly puzzled with his tricky condition. However, the media men have been giving extra support for the film and OK Kanmani is releasing this 17th amidst heavy expectations. The director and his core team will be in Hyderabad today for yet another media interaction.
